Abstract The following study reveals Benoit's image repair strategies used by Penn State University during the Jerry Sandusky sex scandal. Communication strategies from the Board of Trustees are analyzed. The second part of this study examines media pick up from a nationally accredited newspaper to determine the effectiveness of the communication strategies used by Penn State.
