Abstract This research focuses on an assemblage of 19th-century artifacts recovered from the Smith Pottery Works located in Norwalk, Connecticut unearthed by archivist and amateur archaeologist William Asadorian, and colleagues in 2012. Between 1825 and 1888, Smith Pottery Works was a leading distributor of ceramics in Connecticut.
