Monmouth College news clippings scrapbooks / Monmouth College (West Long Branch, N.J.). Office of Public Relations.
Content Description
Scrapbooks/clippings : English 47 volumes ; 47 cm. x 60 cm. x 4 cm. (sizes vary) Forty-seven scrapbooks believed to have been compiled by the Monmouth College Office of Public Relations between 1965 and 1994. Each of the volumes contains clippings of news stories about Monmouth College that appeared in various regional and national publications. All of the clippings were presumably collected by the aforementioned office with input from several commercial media monitoring firms who were retained by the school, including Burrelle's Information Services, the Mutual Press Clipping Service, and the New Jersey Clipping Service (the latter two of which are current partners or affiliates of BurrellesLuce). The scrapbooks consist of two basic types: general news stories and select news stories. Scrapbooks devoted to select topics include volumes featuring clippings about the filming of Annie, the Governor's School for Public Issues and the Future of New Jersey, the New York Giants football team training camps, and the New York Knickerbockers basketball team training camps at Monmouth College.
