Abstract
Over the years, there have been many attempts at improving the performance of nearest neighbor queries. This is an important endeavor because of the wide variety of uses of nearest neighbor searches, from geographic information systems (GIS) to databases to recommendation systems. An example is when a car is running low on fuel while driving; the GPS may be able to report the three closest gas stations to a cars [sic] current location.

Abstract
Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT), introduced by Google, is a powerful natural language processing model as it is able to understand the meaning of words in a sentence in context. WordNet, developed at Princeton University, is a lexical database that shows semantic relationships between words. This thesis looks to investigate BERT’s word categorization system by looking at groups of example sentences given from related WordNet synsets. Because BERT allows a...

Abstract
Character comparison is far from a new concept. For decades, computer science has worked on Optical Character Recognition and handwriting recognition techniques, which are used in a myriad of applications. Much progress has been made in this field, especially with the more contemporary advancements in artificial intelligence. In these cases, we are trying to compare given input to a known set of characters; that is, we want to map image representation of a character to a text it...
