Thomas Sauickie, Jr. AGE: 31 • Hazlet

Thomas Sauickie Jr., 31, of Hazlet, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Bellevue Hospital in New York, NY. Thomas was born on December 24, 1984 in Red Bank. In 2003, he graduated from Raritan High School in Hazlet. He then went on to study at Monmouth University, and graduated with the class of 2008. Thomas married the love of his life, Tracie Sauickie, and together they settled in Hazlet to raise their daughter, Chloe. He was a devoted husband and father, and will always be remembered for his unconditional love and support for his wife and daughter. Thomas was currently working at R. Helfrich & Sons Charter Bus Company in Hazlet. He worked at the company since he was 15 years old, and took great pride in being a part of the family business. Thomas was also a former volunteer fire fighter for West Keansburg Fire Company. Thomas is survived by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Debbie (Helfrich) Sauickie, his beloved wife, Tracie Sauickie, his adored daughter, Chloe Sauickie, his dear siblings, Jenna Sampson and husband Adam of Union Beach, and Jacob Sauickie of Hazlet. Thomas is also survived by his grandparents, Jacob and Virginia Helfrich, his mother-in-law, Francine Sky, his niece, Shelby Sampson, his niece/god-daughter, Ellie Sampson, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday evening, January 28th from 7 to 9 PM, Friday, January 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, and Saturday morning, January 30th from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Rt. 35 N., Hazlet.
