Matthew J., Lieutenant USCG (Ret.), age 87, died peacefully in his sleep on January 12, 2016, of Egg Harbor Township NJ and Boynton Beach FL. Beloved husband of the late Joan Lauriello McCool; devoted father of Matthew, Eileen, Lisa, Diana, Marie and Nicole. Son of the late Matthew and Eleanor; brother of Bob, Jim, Tom, Mike and Joe and the late Jane, Fran and Gerald. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grand-children, many nieces and nephews and his first wife, Irene Szabo McCool.

Matt was born and raised in Philadelphia's Port Richmond area and has been a longtime member of Putso A.C. Matt earn-ed an MBA from Monmouth College.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service Monday, January 18. 2016, at 1 P.M., at Christ Episcopal Church, 157 Shore Road, Somers Point NJ 08244. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Veterans organization of your choice will be appreciated.
