Michelle Scott is an Instructor in the School of Social Work. She holds a Ph.D. and MSW from the University of California–Berkeley. Her dissertation examined the effects of behavioral health managed care on youths' involvement with the juvenile justice system. She earned her BA in psychology from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Scott has extensive research experience in the areas of adolescent mental health, adolescent alcohol use, mental health services, and suicide prevention. She will be teaching the undergraduate and graduate research methods courses. Other teaching areas include statistics, adolescent mental health, and school social work.
