MC alumna, Class of 1989; recipient Distinguished Alumni Award, Founders' Day 2009. [Biographical sketch and photo published in event program.] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Michele Evering-Watley ‘89 is a health education specialist and curriculum designer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta. Along with physicians, epidemiologists, public health advisors, and other staff members, she works to help people in Africa and around the world to reduce the scourge of HIV and other devastating epidemics by partnering with national and international organizations and foreign governments to build strong, transparent, sustained public health systems. She received a bachelor’s degree from Monmouth University and a master’s degree from Towson State University.
