Ella and her son, Nico, try selling a fake pocket watch to buy heroin for the young boy’s dope-sick father, Johnny, who has returned unexpectedly. Meanwhile, his father, Cheech, recounts the early days of Johnny’s addiction, leading up to the moment that incites Johnny’s months-long absence from the family.
