PMA Literary & Film Management, Inc
administrative history
PMA Literary and Film Management, Inc. is a globally positioned management company for Literary, Motion Picture and Television Properties. We have represented multiple New York Times Bestsellers and many global bestsellers. Currently, the company has over two-dozen film and television projects in active development, based on Clients and/or properties that PMA manages.
We exclusively manage a select group of authors and screenwriters who create commercial fiction, non-fiction, original screenplays and film properties. These writers develop projects with strong potential beyond the book publishing industry—projects with immediate, high-impact value in the film and television industries, as well as the global publishing market. PMA also handles Subsidiary Rights for three publishing houses.
Since PMA was restructured as a management company, its relationships in Hollywood and the film and television industries have expanded greatly. We are constantly seeking new Clients who write cutting-edge fiction and non-fiction with domestic and global marketing potential, as well as Clients who can create books and projects that translate into feature, television and cable productions.
Based in New York, Peter Miller, President of PMA, has established contacts nationally and internationally with publishers, writers, writers’ groups and the media. Mr. Miller visits Los Angeles regularly and stays in close contact with studio, network, cable and film production company executives as well as with West Coast-based agents, managers and writers.
PMA also employs foreign agents throughout the world, including Tuttle-Mori in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and its associate, The Eric Yang Agency in Korea; Eliane Benisti in France; ACER in Spain; and Ilidio de Fonseca Matos in Portugal and other countries. Many of PMA’s Clients have been global bestsellers and PMA actively pursues global sales for all its Clients on a daily basis.
PMA maintains an aggressive pursuit of new Clients and properties. We support a liberal “open door” policy of new submissions and are constantly reviewing a steady (and growing) stream of manuscripts and projects. Handling the selection, evaluation and development of properties, and conducting the company’s submissions around the world, is the PMA Staff in New York City.
PMA’s sister corporation, Millennium Lion, Inc., is also headed by Peter Miller. Millennium Lion, Inc. is a production entity that coordinates the submission of all potential film properties to television networks, studios and film production companies. This company actively seeks production arrangements for projects to be produced in partnership or in association with Peter Miller, who functions primarily as an Executive Producer.
